GCF Food Security

The GCF Food Security Project is the “first comprehensive national effort” to focus on increasing the resilience of FSM’s most vulnerable communities to food insecurity in the face of climate change. The project specifically works to improve technical capacity and coordination for Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices across the nation.

Small Islands Food and Water

SIFWaP seeks to improve food, nutrition, water security, and livelihood opportunities in small islands communities by investing in community, group, and household-level projects.

GEF6 FSM Invasive Alien Species

The project is designed to safeguard biodiversity in terrestrial and marine ecosystems, including agricultural and fisheries production systems, from the impacts of IAS by strengthening the institutionalization and enforcement of biosecurity measures across all sectors of government (federal and state), the private sector and civil society.

FSM Biosecurity

FSM Quarantine Services is committed to safeguard the introduction of pest and diseases into the FSM. The FSM Quarantine Service works in tandem with other inspection agencies at the border (Immigration and Customs) for a whole of government approach to border protection.
